Bromley 1-2 QPR XI

Bromley had a very good run out against an impressive QPR side at Hayes Lane on Tuesday night, but were still unable to grab that elusive win.

The first half saw QPR move the ball around well and put The Ravens under pressure for long spells, but the home defence coped well with the test.

On a rare break Bromley took the lead on 22 minutes when Aaron Rhule’s shot hit the post and Gareth Williams side footed home the rebound.

The lead only lasted 15mins before Troy Hewitt hit a powerful low effort from the edge of the box that skipped up off the wet surface over Joe Welch for 1-1.

The second half was a slightly more even affair, but QPR still looked more likely to win the game and after a spell of pressure they did so on 69 minutes when a break up field fell to Rowan Vine who played a quick one two and slipped the ball under Paul Agu.

Bromley kept going and tried to get a break though, but the closest they came was a Hakeem Araba drive that was well saved by Aaron Lennox.
