On an incredibly hot afternoon Bromley and their local Championship neighbours Millwall served up a very entertaining match at Hayes lane.
The Ravens started the game well pressing the experienced Lions back line of Shittu and Robinson, but it was Neill Harris’ side who took the lead on 14 minutes when Twardek cashed on a half cleared ball and beat Seb Brown from ten yards.
Bromley battled back going close twice through Sam Higgins before Pierre Joseph-Dubois headed an equaliser on 25 minutes with a powerful header from a Moses Ademola driven cross.
Parity lasted less than a minute though when on the next attack Pinnock scored with a super strike for 1-2.
Twardek went close again for Millwall as the half went on, while Higgins saw an effort well saved by Gerrar before the break.
The second half saw Bromley continue to play some nice football, Higgins went close again as did Louis Dennis, Ali Fuseini and Danny Waldren, but they couldn’t find a way through the impressive Lions defence.
While Ravens’ custodian Brown made good saves at the other end from Twardek and O’Brien.
Mark Goldberg will have taken many positives from the display, but the concern four games into pre-season must be the lack of any goals from the strikers so far.
