In a match between two old rivals it was last season’s Ryman Division One South Champions who came out on top over their Conference South hosts with a stylish display away from home.
Bromley started well and went in front on 13 minutes when Jay May’s shot was parried by Phil Wilson and Pierre Joseph-Dubois scored from the rebound.
The game had a real competitive edge with both sides having players booked for heavy tackles. After Jordan Clarke had gone close, Hamlet came back into things as the half went on and equalised on 38 minutes when Marc Anthony headed home a corner un-challenged by a static Ravens defence.
Just before the break Kevin James hit the post with a free kick for Dulwich and Steve Smith blazed over for Bromley, but the teams went in level.
The second half was dominated by Hamlet with Bromley strangely flat and lacking cohesion or attacking threat.
The Pink & Blues took the lead on 69 minutes when Kevin James’ free kick from 35 yards out avoided everyone in the box before nestling low in the far corner of the net.
Late on Junior James was denied by Max Huxter as the visitors looked to extend their lead, while Bromley only managed one effort on target from Elliott Buchanan’s header which was comfortably saved by Wilson.
