After what had been a promising start to 2013 Bromley slipped back towards the relegation places with another poor home display against fellow strugglers Basingstoke.
The visitors got off to the perfect start when they took the lead on 3 minutes after Simon Dunn was given plenty of time and space to drive the ball home from just inside the box.
Basingstoke continued to press with Jay Gasson going close twice with headers from corners. After a long delay following a serious injury to Ross Adams, Stoke made it 2-0 in injury time when Dunn again finished smartly into the corner of the net.
The second half saw the visitors start on top again Shaun McAuley & Delano Sam-Yorke both forced a good saves from Joe Welch before Bromley were thrown a lifeline on 71 minutes.
Moses Swaibu headed a corner straight at Gasson and Referee Crysell gave a penalty for handball, Waldren then hitting the spot kick straight down the middle for 2-1.
The game then opened up with The Ravens finding some attacking impetus and Basingstoke looking dangerous on the break. Max Noble, Elliott Buchanan, Louise Theophanous, Pierre Joseph-Dubois and Ali Fuseini all went close for Bromley while McAuley, Manny Williams and Tim Sills were all denied by Welch at the other end.
As it was neither side could find a way through and Basingstoke left with all three points, which they deserved over the ninety minutes.
