The first of two games in a week between these local rivals ended all square after and entertaining afternoons football at Hayes Lane where both sides had spells of dominance.
The game started with both sides looking to attack, but neither created a real chance until just before the break when The Wings had a penalty shout and Leon Mckenzie missed a great opportunity from a Gareth Williams cross for The Ravens.
Soon after Loick Pires was denied by Bromley debutant Keeper Tommy Forecast at one end and both Liam Harwood & Danny Waldren headed just wide for Bromley.
The second half was a lot more cautious until Welling broke the deadlock on 62mins when a Joe Healy cross was hit home on the half volley by Luis Cumbers. Mark Goldberg made a triple substitution, but it took quite a while before it had any real positive effect.
Then on 85mins a deep cross by Marlon Patterson was headed back towards goal by Danny Waldren and hit home at the second attempt by Harwood to make it 1-1 despite the best efforts of Wings Keeper Daniel Thomas.
The result was just about a fair reflection of the game and sets up next Saturdays FA Cup game nicely at the same venue.
