On a family fun day at Hayes Lane these two side met for the first time since 1977 and served up some good entertainment too on a scorching hot day.
Fortunately for Mark Goldberg’s men, this time it didn’t finish 7-0 to The Robins.
After an early Pierre Jopseh-Dubois shot was saved, Swindon had the better of the first half with The Ravens pinned back in defence for long spells.
Seb Brown made several good saves notably from Yaser Kasim and Michael Smith, but Harry Grant did go close late on for Bromley.
The second half saw The Ravens fair much better with Sam Higgins opening the scoring on 50 minutes, driving the ball past former Bromley keeper Wes Foderingham following a slick passing move.
The lead only lasted only six minutes when Michael Smith tapped in from close range from another well constructed move.
Higgins shot wide, Pierre Joseph-Dubois hit the bar with a header, Moses Ademola went close twice, Jamie Slabber shot wide, Ali Fuseini was denied by Foderingham and Reece Prestedge saw a free kick tipped over as Bromley pressed in an impressive second half display, but there were no more goals to be had.
