Bromley picked up a creditable point at home to promotion chasing Lincoln thanks to a hard working team effort and a superb strike from Blair Turgott.
Bromley started the game on top for once, an early spell of pressure from corners saw Rob Swaine have an effort saved by Paul Farman and Adam Cunnington head over a Dave Martin cross.
Lincoln battled into things and Alan Julian had to make a fine reflex save when Swaine sliced a clearance towards his own goal.
Then Blair Turgott put in a great ball for Tobi Sho-Silva who turned the ball wide and also set up Martin who put his effort just off of the mark as Neil Smith’s men pressed again.
Referee Serrano saw fit to book five players in what was a far from dirty game leaving both sides looking bemused.
The Ravens continued to have the better of things Reece Prestedge put in a shot that Sho-Silva didn’t quite get enough of a touch to and soon after Prestedge hit a powerful drive narrowly over the bar, but Bromley couldn’t make their dominance pay.
The second half started in the worst fashion possible for Bromley, The Imps’ Harry Anderson picked up the ball on the left and after a strong run he unleashed an unstoppable shot past Julian to put the visitors in front.
Jack Muldoon had a chance well saved soon after before The Ravens rallied and began to compete again. Swaine had a powerful header from a corner saved by Farman and Cunnington headed over a great opportunity from another corner.
With the game flowing from end to end Muldoon was again denied by Julian before Bromley went up the other end with the next attack and equalised.
Turgott ran from deep in midfield before beating two defenders and finding enough space twenty yards out to curling in a sensational effort into the far corner of the net. Both sides carried on pressing from there, Luke Waterfall headed over for The Imps and Julian saved bravely at the feet of Anderson, while Bromley went close when Swaine headed a Joe Anderson free kick wide.
Sho-Silva was ruled offside when trying to connect with a Turgott ball after great work from pacey sub Daniel Ajakaiye. Ajakaiye had his own chance soon after when racing clear of the Lincoln defence, but his low drive was well saved by Farman.
Late on Lincoln had the better of things, Sean Raggett had a header saved and Dan Johnson had to clear the ball off the line when Swaine and Julian got in a tangle dealing with an Anderson cross, but Bromley held out and picked up a great point to move up to sixteenth in the table.
Bromley now have a week to prepare for the FA Cup game at Braintree Town next Saturday hoping to extend their unbeaten run of four games.
