Bromley 1-1 Hayes & Yeading United

Bromley looked to be heading for another home defeat until they grabbed a late point against a hard working Hayes & Yeading side who battled hard in the Hayes Lane mud and deserved at least a point for their efforts.

Both sides created chances early on as Kadell Daniels went close for the visitors while Moses Ademola and Ben May forced saves from Callum Kitscha.

Hayes had the better of things as the half went on Elliott Benyon shooting just wide and former Raven Wes Daly firing over.

Late on Bromley rallied with Reece Prestedge hitting the bar from an Ugo Udoji cross and Ali Fuseini denied by Kitscha, but the sides went in level.

The second half saw Bromey do most of the attcking Ademola have an early a header saved, but it was Phil Babb’s men who took the lead on 54 minutes when Dean Inman headed home a Daniels corner.

Bromley continued to press with Rob Swaine having a siding effort saved from a corner and Jamie Slabber going close with a header.

On a rare break Alan Julian saved bravely at the feet of Daniels to keep the score down to one at the other end.

Late on The Ravens kept pushing, Slabber was denied by a superb Inman tackle and he headed the resulting corner narrowly over.

Then after two half cleared chances from a set piece Bromley finally equalised on 87 minutes as Slabber flicked a header in a crowded area into the top corner from ten yards out.

Deep into injury time with Bromley pushing forward captain Swaine was sent off as he committed a crude foul on Tom Derry at the half way line as the Hayes sub broke clear, but it was too late to effect this game.

The Ravens now travel to Ebbsfleet on Tuesday in what could prove to be a key game in the title race.
