Bromley 1-1 Boreham Wood

A late Mike Jones strike was enough to rescue a point for struggling Bromley against play off chasing Boreham Wood who were reduced to ten men on the hour.Bromley

The game got off to an open start with Pierre Joseph-Dubois going close twice for Bromley and Graeme Montgomery having three good efforts at the other end.

Marlon Patterson also had a good effort saved by James Russell before Wood missed the best chance off the half when Piero Mingoia hit the underside of the bar from close range.

The second half started with both sides looking to attack, Solomon Taiwo had a free tipped over and also had another effort saved from the resulting corner by young keeper Russell.

Then on the hour Boreham Wood captain Mario Noto was sent off after a terrible foul on Danny Waldren, but it was the ten men who responded better and they took the lead on 69 minutes when a deep free kick from Mark Jones was headed down by Charlie O’Loughlin and converted by Montgomery.

Mark Goldberg rang the changes and The Ravens had a late spell of pressure which eventually saw Jones smash home from close range to equalise.

Both teams had chances in stoppage time with Moses Swaibu denying the visitors a winner with a fine block to thwart Lewis Toomey’s great run.
