Bromley 1-0 Weston-Super-Mare

Bromley grabbed a life line in their battle against the drop thanks to an Ali Fuseini goal on the hour, which was enough for The Ravens to complete the double over Weston.

Bromley started well with Albert Jarrett looking lively down the left and he set up Hakeem Araba who headed just over. Fuseini went close twice and Tutu Henriques headed over after more good work by Jarrett, but despite the home sides’ dominance of possession the half ended scoreless.

Weston started the second half much stronger with Pierre Joseph-Dubois making a great last ditch clearance for Bromley before The Ravens finally settled.

The only goal came on the hour when Fuseini showed great control in the box bringing down a high ball before coolly finishing past Lloyd Irish. Anthony Thomas then missed a great chance to extend the lead when firing wide with the Keeper stranded and Bromley were denied a clear penalty soon after when Ben Cleverley handled in the box, but the officials failed to spot it.

The Ravens nearly fell foul of that decision late on as Weston got going and started to press. Liam Harwood cleared one off the line with an over head kick and Joe Welch made a superb save from Chris Young in injury time to secure the vital win for Mark Goldberg’s team.
