Bromley maintained their unbeaten home league form with an impressive single goal victory over promotion hopefuls Bath City at a sweltering hot Hayes Lane.
After Kerry Morgan had an early chance saved by Joe Welch The Ravens had the best of the opening play and took the lead on 9 minutes when Pierre Joseph Dubois flicked home Sanchez Ming’s pin point cross.
Soon after Dubois went close again after good work by Ali Chaaban, but then The Romans came back into things. Charlie Griffin & Noah Keats twice had efforts saved by Welch while for Bromley Ali Fuseini blazed over when well placed just before the half.
The second half saw Bromley play some lovely attacking football, but as was the case so many times last season they failed to turn it into goals. Dubois and Moses Swaibu were just off target, debutant Elliott Buchanan and Michael Malcolm were denied by Glyn Garner and Dubois again was just wide of the mark as Mark Goldberg’s men dominated.
Bath’s best chance fell to Brad Norris but he headed wide. Late on Danny Waldren, Buchanan and Dubois on two more occasions fired wide, but one goal proved to be enough in the end for a much needed three points for the home side.
