It was away day joy for Wrexham as goals in either half from Davis Keillor-Dunn and Jordan Ponticelli ensured a crucial three points in their fight against relegation.
With the wind having an effect on the game, it was Wrexham who adapted quickest to the conditions hitting the post as early as the 7th minute when Jordan Ponticelli was played in on goal.
Bromley did not heed that warning and promptly fell behind minutes later when the dangerous Keillor-Dunn produced a moment of individual brilliance. The attacking midfielder picked up the ball 25 yards from goal before dancing around three defenders and slotting past Mark Cousins.
Wrexham bossed the first half and Ponticelli should have doubled the lead seven minutes before the break, Keillor-Dunn crossed for the frontman but despite being unmarked he headed wide.
Bromley emerged from the interval re-invigorated but found Rob Lainton in inspired form, the stopper parried away Chris Bush’s free kick early on.
At the other end Keillor-Davis drew a fantastic fingertip save from Cousins with a free-kick of his own.
From there Bromley seized the initiative Coulson, Whitely and substitute Aaron Rowe all went close but again Lainton was equal to every effort.
With Bromley desperately pressing for an equaliser Wrexham made the game safe on the counter attack. Ponticelli picked up a loose ball just inside his own half before driving forward and finishing past Cousins with some aplomb.
The defeat represents Bromley’s sixth in their last seven games and heaps further pressure on manager Neil Smith to arrest the slide. The Ravens have fallen to ninth in the National League as their playoff dreams continue to evaporate.
