Bromley bowed out of their last cup competition of the season as they were unable to match the young Charlton side over the piece which took two clinical chances in the first half as The Ravens failed to take theirs.
Bromley started the game brightly Reece Prestedge had two chances saved by Nick Pope, Alex Wall headed a superb Aaron Tumwa cross wide and went close again soon after following good work by Ali Fuseini.
Then on their first attack Charlton took the lead when a slick passing move opened up the home defence which Joseph Aribo finished coolly past Alan Julian.
Seven minutes later Brandon Hanlon’s low cross shot was only parried by Julian straight into the path of Josh Umerah who converted from close range.
The game quietened down for a spell until late in the half Adam Coombes hit a fierce volley which skidded narrowly wide.
The second half saw The Ravens have more possession, but created little in the way of clear chances.
Mikhail Kennedy went close for Charlton shooting just over before Fuseini had a shot saved by Pope and then Bradley Goldberg missed a great chance against his former employers when failing to connect properly to a deep cross.
Sean Francis flicked a Coombes corner, but Pope got down to save well at the foot of the near post before Wall blasted over from 20 yards.
Ugo Udoji sent in a fine cross for Coombes who headed wide and then Wall had another shot from a corner cleared off the line before Bromley ran out of momentum.
Late in the half Reagen Charles-Cook forced a fine save from Julian with a powerful drive and then Kennedy hit the side netting as time ran out.
