Bromley 0-1 Weston Super Mare

Bromley suffered another disappointing home defeat after a recent good run, losing out to a well organised Weston side who took their solitary second half chance.Bromley

The game got off to a subdued start with two sides of the ground shut due to snow the atmosphere was effected. After both sides created little for long spells, Bromley finally got going late in the half with Louie Theophanous firing wide and Danny Waldren going close twice from corners. Weston’s only effort was a wild shot over from Ashley Kington.

The second half saw The Ravens start well, but on their first break out of defence Weston made the vital breakthrough as Kington’s low effort from the edge of the box crept past Joe Welch to make it 0-1 on 51minutes.

Mark Goldberg’s men too often couldn’t find the final killer ball despite the manager ringing the changes up front. Aside from a couple of half hearted penalty claims Bromley didn’t threaten to equalise until very late on when Moses Swaibu squandered a great opportunity from a deep free kick and then Ian Daly had a goal ruled out after Sanchez Ming’s cross was ruled to have gone out of play.

In injury time Theophanous had an effort saved by Lloyd Irish, but it wasn’t to be for the home side.
