KSN are proud to support:

Bromley 0-1 Billericay Town
Bromley 0-1 Billericay Town

For the second season running Bromley are mired in a relegation battle after once again failing to compete at home, this time against a rugged Billericay side who were well worth their three points.

The visitors started well with Rob Swaine hitting the bar with a header from a corner and the Essex side made the most of the open space offered them by The Ravens 4-3-3 formation with their direct style.

They deservedly took the lead on 18 minutes when a deep cross was turned in by former Bromley striker Jay May from close range.

Soon after Dave Collis went close as did Charlie Taylor while Bromley only had a brief spell of dominance just before the break, but created little.

The second half saw Mark Goldberg change to 4-4-2 and the improvement was there in the play, but never really materialised in the shape on real chances.

Marlon Patterson had the home sides best chance, but he drove his shot straight at Luke Bartlett. Taylor went close on two occasions for Billericay as the game opened up and Bromley had a penalty shout when Ali Chaaban went down under a challenge, but it wasn’t to be.

Pierre Joseph-Dubois had a header saved late on by Bartlett, but Craig Edwards’ side ran time out with some expert gamesmanship and solid defensive play for a well earned win.
