Bromley 0-0 Eastleigh
Bromley 0-0 Eastleigh

Missed chances once again cost Bromley two vital points in their quest against relegation on a frustrating afternoon for their fans as they matched their higher placed opponents from Hampshire, but just couldn’t score.

The game started brightly with half chances at either end, but the final ball was often lacking and was often given away. Liam Harwood made a great block to deny The Spitfire’s Leigh Phillips and Andy Forbes fired over, while Raven’s Danny Waldren had a powerful shot saved by Jack Dovey, who was also on hand to save Tom Jordan’s miscued header from a dangerous Albert Jarrett cross.

The second half saw Bromley play some good stuff and put Eastleigh under pressure down both wings, Pierre Joseph-Dubois hit the post with a header after good work by Jarrett and the Frenchman was later booked for diving in the area for what look a strong penalty shout.

Waldren fired over as Bromley continued to press for a goal and late on The Ravens were given the perfect opportunity when Anthony Thomas’ over head kick was handled in the box for a penalty.

Waldren stepped up to the spot kick, but his shot cannoned off the under side of the bar and bounced out to leave the game scoreless and the points shared.
