Wrotham based Motorbase Performance are off to Norfolk again this weekend for the British GT Championship double header at Snetterton.
With a return to the hour-long sprint format and with double points on offer, the #8 Motorbase-run Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 of Ross Wylie and Phil Dryburgh will be looking to challenge for two strong points finishes ahead of the season finale at Donington Park next month.
“The season is coming to an end very quickly and we still have a lot of work to do with Ross and Phil so we’ll be pushing hard for that elusive podium this weekend;” commented Motorbase Team Boss David Bartrum.
“We had a good run at Spa last month but there was a lot of competition. Coming back to UK home soil it’s important that we keep the pressure on to try and get that all important podium finish as we approach the end of the season. I’m expecting the team and the drivers to work hard this weekend and hopefully we’ll be rewarded with the right result.”
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Dryburgh said: “After a reasonable run at Spa, we move from the undulations of the Ardennes to the flatlands of Norfolk, confident that the car will be as competitive as ever and the team as aggressive as usual – which only leaves the drivers to perform! Some rain might be good to mix things up, but whatever the conditions Ross and I will be giving our all to get a podium finish. I’ve had a win at the track in Britcar and a 4th in British GT, so although it’s never been a favourite of mine since they added the infield, it’s not been a bad place for results.”
