The Maxxis British Drift Championship has announced that it will be returning to Kent again in 2014 as the competition continues to grow.
Lydden Hill will again play host to the drift weekends, with not one but two rounds of action coming to the Canterbury track.
The season will kick off for the drifters at Lydden over the weekend of 19th returning for Round four of six in August.
2014 marks the seventh year of the British Drift Championship and it is already shaping up to be the most competitive season yet. With a return to competition drifting at Silverstone as part of Trax and a whole new venue in the shape of Anglesey there are plenty of new challenges for the drivers to overcome in their campaigns for victory.
Support for the championship has expanded once again, with new sponsors including Exedy, HEL, Tarox, Corbeau, Power Maxed and Steel Seal joining the already impressive roster of internationally recognised companies that support the series.
The championship has continued to grow in strength and depth, with a full complement of drivers across three classes exemplifying the appeal of the UK’s only professional drifting championship.
Entry numbers per round have been increased to 120 to accommodate up-and-coming drivers moving their way into competition level drifting.
Each round (except Round 5) will be held over two days as per usual, with the highlight of each event being the all-important battles on the second day of each event!
