Bristol City are going through a torrid time that has seen them plummet down the table.
The Robins last won at Peterborough on mid September, nine games ago. Since then City have lost seven games, including their last six.
Albert Adomah is a dangerous wide man and Jon Stead and Sam Baldock are a capable strike force but it is defensively where the Robins have struggled.
This is the second successive year that the Addicks have played away from home on Remembrance Sunday. As at Halifax a year ago, the Charlton players will have poppy printed on their away shirts.
The Addicks will be buoyed by Tuesday’s thrilling victory over Cardiff and Chris Powell will be hoping to see his side record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The Addicks were just seven points off the play-off places after the midweek game and a winning run would propel them into the promotion race.
Powell will have Friday’s arrivals, Dan Seaborne and Eggert Jonsson, available to boost his squad.
Ben Hamer may have a more normal looking back-four in front of him. Chris Solly is likely to revert to his favoured right-back berth with newcomer, Dan Seaborne, coming in on the left. This would allow Leon Cort and Michael Morrison to resume their parnership at the heart of the defence.
Powell will be hoping that Danny Haynes – so influential on Tuesday – will have recovered from apparent cramp. Haynes could play wide right in a 4-5-1 formation but he could quickly join Hulse up front. Pritchard, Stephens, Jackson and Kerkar may be the other midfielders with Dervite coming in if Haynes is unfit. Rob Hulse will continue up front.
Charlton could line-up like this:
Hamer; Solly, Cort, Morrison, Seaborne; Haynes, Pritchard, Stephens, Jackson, Kerkar; Hulse.
Subs: Button, Taylor, Dervite, Green, Jonsson, Hollands, Wright-Phillips.
Phil Gibbs from the West Midlands will be the man in charge.
This is a game where Powell will be expecting to return home with the three points.
