As expected, Lawrie Wilson started with a mask to protect his damaged eye socket. Richard Wood dropped to the bench in an otherwise unchanged line-up.Brighton

There was a surprise on the bench though, with Chris Solly involved for the first time since early January.

The Addicks suffered an early setback when they gifted Brighton a goal. Ben Hamer played the ball out to Diego Poyet who was closed down quickly and lost possession to allow Jesse Lingard to fire across Hamer.
Just before the interval the Addicks suffered a double whammy. A surging run from Jordan Cousins gave Reza  Ghoochannejhad the opportunity to shoot.
The Iranian’s deflected effort cannoned back off the bar, Brighton broke at pace and seconds later Leonardo Ulloa doubled the  advantage, though the visitors were convinced the goal should have been disallowed for offside.

Charlton withdrew Astrit Ajdarevic at the interval and brought on Callum Harriott. The biggest cheer from the travelling fans came midway through the half when Chris Solly came on for Ghoochannejhad.

A miserable afternoon for the Addicks was completed in added on time when Jake Caskey-Forster slotted home a third.

Jose Riga will be desperate to keep his winning Tuesday run going against Barnsley next week.
