Bradford City v Gillingham preview

Gillingham could hand debuts to winger Harry Cornick and striker Joe Quigley at Bradford City on Saturday afternoon.

The pair joined on loan from Bournemouth earlier in the week, but both have been carrying injuries in recent weeks and might not be risked by Ady Pennock.

Central defender Bondz N’Gala was brought in to bolster the Gillingham defence, but now won’t be allowed to play for the rest of the season leaving a gaping hole still for Pennock to fill.

The Kent club are waiting on international clearance for Josh Parker, the Antigua & Barbuda forward having signed after a trial.

Defender Chris Herd will continue to be assessed following a concussion.

Midfielder Lee Martin (ankle) and defender Bradley Garmston (hamstring) stepped up their rehabilitation with a behind-closed-doors match, while Aaron Morris (knee) also continues his recovery.

With Billy Knott having joined Lincoln City on loan, Pennock’s options may once again be limited.

Bradford could hand debuts to new signings Charlie Wyke and Kevin Toner against The Gills.

Striker Wyke, a permanent signing from Carlisle, and loanee defender Toner both arrived on transfer deadline day.

Rory McArdle was forced out of the midweek Checkatrade Trophy defeat at Oxford due to a cut head and will be monitored.

Fellow defender Matt Kilgallon remains sidelined with a shoulder injury.
