Bracknell Bees 7-1 Invicta Dynamos
Bracknell Bees 7-1 Invicta Dynamos

The Invicta Dynamos, missing key players were beaten by EPL side Bracknell Bees who gained revenge for the defeat the Dynamos placed on them a fortnight ago.

Bracnell Bees away

The Dynamos lined-up with no Mark Lee, Andy Smith, Juraj Huska, Brad Gutridge, Grant Baxter and Charlie Phillips.

With Joonas Liimatainen having let the Dynamos down with his no-show and no replacement yet secured to fill the vacant import position it left the Mo’s with no import in this fixture.

The opening five minutes was to provide a tight opening for both teams with Bracknell trying to play a controlled game but Invicta always looking dangerous on the counter attack.

Despite chances falling to Adam McNicoll and Callum Fowler it would be Bracknell who took the lead through an Ivan Antonov shot that squeezed pass Chris Douglas on 6:54 following patient build-up play by Scott Spearing and Pavel Strycek .

Invicta were rewarded for their efforts on 23:59 when Callum Fowler struck the puck past Tom Annetts from distance with Frankie Harvey picking-up the assist. The scores were level for four minutes until Ivan Antonov grabbed his second of the night.

A mini-collapse from the Dynamos would benefit Bracknell as they piled on the pressure to score 4 goals in between the 35th and 40th minute.

The 3rd goal was claimed by Radek Hubacek whose shot hit the goal frame and fell into the back of the net on 35:02. Joshua Smith scored unassisted on 35:34 to make it 4-1 before Radek Hubacek grabbed his 2nd goal and Bracknell’s 5th goal on 38:10.

James Galazzi grabbed the 6th goal on 39:54 after Invicta failed to clear their lines.

The 3rd period was a much quieter affair with only 4 shots on Tom Annetts and 12 shots on Chris Douglas. Ivan Antonov was the only player to convert a shot to a goal on 57:27 as his shot would see him grab his hat-trick and deserved man of the match award.

Despite being short on numbers the Invicta Dynamos battled hard and were applauded off the ice at the end of the game by the vocal travelling fans who were singing ‘we are proud of you’ to their heroes.
