Following promotion to the Ryman League One South, Greenwich Borough manager Gary Alexander has started putting together enhancements to his squad.

Greenwich Borough2

His first signing is former Crystal Palace first team player Lewwis Spence however injury curtailed his spell there after two league appearances and he was transferred to Wycombe Wanderers.

Two seasons there, including a loan spell at Forest Green Rovers, ended with a move to Rushden and Diamonds.

Whilst there, he had a loan spell at Dover Athletic before joining Thurrock in 2012. Last season, the 28 year old midfielder scored nine goals in 30 games for the Fleet.

Also joining the club from Thurrock is 24 year old left back Remi Sutton. He was an ever present for the club in 2015-16 with 51 appearances and scored three goals.

Having been an integral member of the Fleet squad for the last three seasons, his signing is a real coup for Alexander.

That has been tempered somewhat by the loss of influential midfield player Ryan Dolby. He felt that his work requirements would mean that he would not be able to commit himself  to the additional needs in the new league so Alexander has allowed him to leave.

Yacine Gnahore has also departed following a short spell with the Borough.

It promises to be an exciting season for the club as they return to playing home fixtures within the borough of Greenwich.
