Charlton boss Chris Powell has revealed that striker Paul Benson is likely to leave the club on loan before next week`s transfer window.
Benson has fallen down the pecking order at The Valley and now looks set for a temporary move.
Powell told London24: “At the moment we are still trying to see what deal and what club Paul can hopefully go to. I could keep him here but his agent wants him to play.
“I want to be fair to him. I could quite easily keep him here and have him on the bench coming on for cameo roles, but does he want to do that or start games?
“Paul Benson has come to me and said he wants to start games and I think that shows the measure of him.”
A variety of sources have linked Benson with a loan move to Bradford City under former Addicks boss Phil Parkinson.
