Beckenham Town v Broadridge Heath preview

Isthmian League Division One South East leaders Beckenham Town are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Broadbridge Heath at Eden Park Avenue.

Becks go into the game sitting top of the table with 38 points from 16 league matches, last Saturday new manager Del Oldfield’s side won 1-0 away at Sheppey Utd courtesy of a second half goal from Louie Theophanous, their fifth consecutive victory. Leaving the Kent side four points clear of Ramsgate, but having played four games more in the league.

Broadbridge make the trip up from Sussex sitting in twelfth place with 15 points from 11 league games. The Bears won 4-2 at home to East Grinstead Town on Tuesday night,  Mason Doughty, Matthew Hay, Mark Goldson and Callum Dowdell  all on target for Chris Simmons’ team. The Bears haven’t drawn a league game yet this season winning five and losing six making a steady start to their second season at this level.

When the sides met last season Broadbridge Heath won 4-0 at EPR in September, while the game in Sussex ended 3-3 in December. Beckenham went on to finish second from bottom, but were later reprieved from relegation, while Broadbridge ended their debut Division One South East campaign in a very respectable ninth.

This looks set to be an entertaining and between the in form league leaders hoping to keep their winning run going and their visitors looking to put a run of positive results together.

Entrance for the game is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and Under 12s are free. Bromley FC season ticket holders can see the game for half price on presentation of their ticket.

Kick off is at 3pm.
