Bromley ran out comfortable winners against their Southern Counties East League opponents, but suffered a blow ahead of the league campaign with a second half red card for Anthony Cook.
The first half saw Beckenham start well with former Bromley Academy player James Frey causing problems down the left.
The Ravens took a while to settle before Moses Emmanuel set up Louis Dennis to put Mark Goldberg’s men in front on 15 minutes.
Adam Birchall set up Reece Prestedge who shot wide soon after and Alex Wall blasted over before Bromley made it 2-0 on 36 minutes.
Dennis and Pierre Joseph-Dubois combining to set up Emmanuel who did brilliantly to control the ball under pressure and beat Alex Hyde from ten yards.
Fray went close for Becks and Emmanuel fired over late on for The Ravens but the half ended 2-0.
The second half started quietly until a late challenge on Anthony Cook saw him react to the player and shown a harsh red card as players squared up to each other.
Even down to ten men Bromley played well, Jack Holland, Ali Fuseini and Brad Goldberg forced saves from Hyde before the third goal came on 77 minutes.
Lee Minsull and Birchall setting up Aarron Tunwa who scored from close range.
The game certainly tested Bromley’s strength in playing with ten men and standing up to some strong challenges, with Becks also playing some nice stuff at times.
The Ravens now take on Crystal Palace’s first team on Thursday night at Hayes Lane.
