Sheppey United kept their good form up with a good victory against a hard working Bearsted side who for moments in the match caused a few flutters in the eyes of the supporters.

The game started slowly with both sides giving the ball away but the game came to life in the 18^th minute when Warren Mfula in the area saw his shot blocked by Jamie Gillan, four minutes later Danny Leonard on the right saw his low cross saved by Gillan.

In the 25^th minute Sheppey took the lead when Leonard on the right latched onto the through ball & went into the area & shot past Gillan, two minutes later & Sheppey doubled their score when Billy Bennett put Mfula through & once in the area he shot home.

Sheppey were now in control & in the 30^th minute Connor Wilkins 22 yards out saw his snapshot pushed over the bar by Gillan. In the 38^th minute disaster struck for Bearsted as a ball into the area & the referee Mr Hill gave a penalty.

Up stepped Mfula & his shot was parried away by Gillan who became the hero. A minute later & Mfula tried his luck from 18 yards but again Gillan pushed it around the post.

In the 40^th minute in a rare attack Lucian Scarlett passed out to Andy Irvine & his shot was saved at the second attempt by Adam Molloy. Half time came & Sheppey were in total control.

The second half saw Bearsted have a right go at Sheppey & in the very first minute of the half Jon Rogers 15 yards out saw his shot go just past the post. In the 50^th minute in a rare attack for Sheppey Harrison Carnegie received the ball out on the left wing, he then cut inside & from 18 yards his shot was saved by Gillan.

A minute later Callum McCarthy saw his cross get deflected forcing Molloy to save. In the 53^rd minute Bearsted got the goal their ply deserved when Irvine on the left received the ball & his low cross found Scarlet who controlled it & went round Molloy & shot home. A minute later Bennett was put through & from an acute angle his shot was saved.

Four minutes later & Sheppey restored their 2 goal lead when a free kick into the area saw a few players go for it but unfortunately it hit a Bearsted head & went into the net.

Bearsted were devastated but 10 minutes later they got another goal when Tom Penfold went across the 18 yard line & his shot was parried away by Molloy but straight to Irvine who shot home from 3 yards.

Sheppey were getting a bit nervous but in the 86^th minute they calmed down when a long ball forward pound Junior Aikhionbare who on the edge of the area controlled it shot home, three minutes later & it was five when Leonard on the right in on goal saw his first shot saved but it came back to him & he shot home.
