Corinthian kept up their unbeaten away record with a convincing win at Bearsted playing with ten men for 25 minutes, this victory moved them up to third in the table.
Bearsted will be disappointed but they can have no complaints as they did not get out of first gear.
Corinthian started the game confidently & in the 3rd minute Oscar Housego received the ball 20 yards out & tried his luck but it went over the bar & then in the 16th minute they took the lead when Housego received the ball on the edge of the area & his shot went into the bottom left hand corner beating Scott Andrews.
Five minutes later it was two when a free kick 20 yards out was taken by Jamie Billings who curled it around the wall into the bottom left hand corner, it could have been three 4 minutes later when Jacob Gilbert in the area stabbed his shot wide from 6 yards.
Corinthian were now in total command & only complacency would stop them from winning. Bearsted had their first chance in the 26th minute when Cameron Croucher down the right crossed into the area where Constantin Scarlat’s flicked header went past the far post.
Right on half time it nearly became three when A.Jack Billings in the area saw his side foot shot go just past the post.
The second half took a bit of time to get going but in the 61st minute Corinthian scored their third when Shaun Brown 20 yards saw his shot get a wicked deflection beating Andrews.
In the 64th minute Kameron Gyeabour ran into the area but his low shot went past the far post. In the very next minute came a controversial moment, James Miller disputing a decision was sent off for Foul & Abusive language which in the context of the game a few others could have gone.
The rest of the game Corinthian still bossed the game giving Bearsted only a few chances. In the 74th minute Sam Bewick in on goal under pressure saw his shot go over the bar.
In a rare attack Bearsted nearly got a goal back in the 82nd minute when a cross into the area found Ryan Croucher but unopposed his header flew past the post. Corinthian rounded off the game with a fourth when Bewick was put through into the area & waited for Andrews to come out before slipping it past him.
In the 2nd minute of added on time Matt Hathway nearly got a consolation goal when his curling effort from 20 yards just went past the post.
The final whistle went & Corinthian celebrated while Bearsted will put it down to a bad day at the office.
