On Saturday afternoon, Welling United are in Vanarama National League South action when they visit Bath City.
Last week, the Wings were defeated at home for the first time in three months when losing to Eastbourne Borough so now they will look to end another run, their streak of nine away matches without a league or cup victory since winning at Dartford in the F.A. Cup in mid-September.
Their defeat to Eastbourne was particularly tough. Tristan Abrahams had a goal disallowed for a questionable offside decision and Welling were twice denied penalties that might have been awarded on another day.
Harrison Foulkes made a series of good saves for the visitors who only had two meaningful attempts on goal, and scored with them both.
It has been a good solid to the season for the Romans although they have had a minor blip in recent weeks that has seen them drop out of the play-off places.
They have gone five league games without a win, drawing at Hemel Hempstead, Farnborough, and Dover (last Saturday) and losing at home to Chelmsford City and Yeovil Town. However, their most recent home game was in the F.A. Trophy in which they defeated National League Boreham Wood.
When the two teams met at Twerton Park for a Friday evening game last December, the spoils were shared in a one-one draw. Callum Ebanks gave the Romans the lead on the hour mark but Welling levelled with nine minutes remaining through a brilliant long range shot by Taylor Maloney.
Josh Chambers should be available to return for Welling after missing the Eastbourne game, but may not find himself back in the starting eleven as Antony Papadopoulos performed impressively when deputising.
TJ Bramble has been playing at centre-back in recent weeks to cover injuries in that area, however, Taylor Curran and Will Wood might be back in contention as they recover.
Amadou Kassarate and Rob Howard have both left the club suggesting that a new signing may be imminent, possibly in time for the trip to the West Country.
Although it will be a tough challenge, Welling manager Danny Bloor knows that if his team play as they did against Yeovil Town and at Aveley, they can give their supporters some pre-Christmas cheer.
