Barnsley game given go ahead
Barnsley game given go ahead

Saturday’s game with Barnsley is definitely on. The ground staff have sufficient headroom to work under the dome and the pitch will be fine for the weekend.

Dependent on weather conditions, the dome may be put up after the match with the Tykes to protect the pitch ahead of the Oxford game. The club are anxious to get both matches played and have confirmed that Saturday’s game is not at risk.

One player who will not feature against Barnsley is Cameron Stewart, who has joined Leeds on an ’emergency’ loan deal from Hull, which will allow him to play for Leeds until 12 April.

Stewart featured for the Tigers against Leyton Orient in the Carling Cup prior to joining the Addicks. FIFA regulations only allow a player to represent two clubs in a season, though playing for another club is allowed if the move is onan ’emergency’ loan basis.

Stewart has agreed terms to join Leeds permanently on a three year deal in the summer.
