Barking 1-1 Sittingbourne (4-3 pens)

Sittingbourne made three changes to the starting line-up that played against Whyteleafe. In came Michael Freiter, Jack Hansen and Vance Bola, whilst Johan Caney-Bryan remains injured and Harry Goodger and Dan Stubbs were on the bench.

It was a slow start for Sittingbourne and Barking were looking dangerous in the early part of the game especially when Isaac Westendorf was on the ball.

And it was Westendorf who gave Barking a 14th minute lead following a mix up in the Brickies defence.

Sittingbourne started to string some moves together and on 29 minutes they won a free kick just inside the Barking area.

Andy Drury floated the ball to Jack Hanson on the right and Hanson’s cross found Kane Rowland who headed the ball into the net to pull the Brickies level.

Sittingbourne were looking the better team now and although Freeman Rogers had the ball in the net in the second half the “goal” was disallowed and the half ended in stalemate so the game went to penalties.

Barking scored their first and Kane Rowland scored (1-1). Barking scored their second (2-1), but Harry Goodger put his over the bar. (2-1), Barking scored their third (3-1) and Andy Drury scored for the Brickies (3-2). Barking missed their next (3-2), and Harry Miller scored for the Brickies (3-3), Barking scored (4-3) and George Monger missed. 4-3 final score.

Sittingbourne: Jordan Perrin, Sam Flisher, George Monger, Harry Miller, Cory Walters-Wright, Freeman Rogers, Jack Hanson (Dan Stubbs 84 mins), Michael Freiter (Enoch Adjei 53 mins, Harry Goodger 90 mins)), Kane Rowland, Andy Drury, Vance Bola. Subs not used: Charlie Gill, George Miles
