The draw for the last sixteen has been made and again has been unkind to the last Kent representative left in this season’s FA Carlsberg Vase.
With their Fourth Round tie away to Hanwell Town of the Molten Spartan South Midlands League postponed on Saturday, Paul Chambers and his Ashford United side wont be counting their place in the last sixteen for granted just yet, but if the Nuts and Bolts do progress in Saturday’s rearranged tie in Middlesex, they will travel again in Round Five.
The draw made at Wembley this morning sends the winner of the tie into Bedfordshire to face Ampthill Town also of the Molten Spartan South Midlands League.
It really is a tough draw all round for Ashford though as Hanwell are currently third in the MSSML and Ampthill are top… that said Paul Chambers’ side it has to be remembered are the current leaders of the Southern Counties East League!
