Roger Johnson was in the stands at The Valley on Saturday. Johnson first arrived at Charlton from Wolves in the latter half of last season on a short term deal, along with Chris Eagles and Alou Diarra.
Diarra was the only one of the trio to be offered a new deal. Eagles is now plying his trade at Bury, while after an unsuccessful trial for the MLS, Johnson signed for Indian Super League side, Pune City.
Johnson will rejoin the Addicks this week..
Another imminent arrival is the 2013/14 Player Of The Year, Diego Poyet. Poyet moved to West Ham in the summer of 2014 but has failed to nail down a regular first team berth at Upton Park.
The Hammers sent him out on a season long loan to Milton Keynes Dons at the beginning of this campaign, but he has not been in Karl Robinson’s plans recently.
The Dons’ boss feels his style is too similar to that of Darren Potter, and the midfielder has now been recalled by the Hammers.
West Ham are keen for Poyet to get regular game time, and he will switch to the Addicks this week .
