Tonbridge Angels striker Mikel Suarez remains in intensive care after a clash of heads with a team-mate last weekend.

With the Angels set to play Bath City at the Longmead Stadium this weekend, a statement on the club’s official website updated fans on the striker’s progress:

“We have just been advised by Mikel’s family that he remains in hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, following his injury on Saturday.”

“Any further news will be passed on as soon as we receive it.”

“We all send Mikel our best wishes for a quick and speedy recovery.”
