Bromley lost their fourth consecutive match and slipped back into relegation trouble as they fell to a late goal against ten man Hornchurch who were desprerate for points near the relegation zone.
The first half was a scrappy affair not helped by the windy conditions and bumpy pitch. The Ravens went close twice with Jones & Buchanan both firing just wide of the target.
The main talking point was May’s red card following a poor challenge on Waldren just before the break.
The second half saw The Urchins look the more positive despite their numerical disadvantage, but Bromley did have a spell of five minutes or so when Theophanous and Holland both had efforts saved by Woolley.
Tuohy forced a save from Welch as the home side pressed and they looked far more dangerous once St Aimee came on as sub up front.
Initially he had an effort saved, but on 90 minutes St Aimee went one better showing power and pace before blasting the ball past Welch from the edge of the box.
Tuohy nearly made it two but Welch made the save to keep the score down to a solitary goal defeat for Goldberg’s struggling side.
