Landmarks for two of the club’s youngsters over the weekend. Welsh Under-21 left-back, Morgan Fox, scored Notts County’s second goal in their 4-0 win at Colchester.
Fox is on loan at Meadow Lane and gaining useful league experience.
Central defender, Harry Lennon, penned a deal that will keep him at The Valley until the summer of 2016 on Monday morning.
Lennon was on the bench for the first team during Richard Wood’s absence through injury recently.
The Addicks Under-21 team beat Cardiff 5-2 at Sparrows Lane on Monday afternoon. Tobi Sho-Silva netted twice, Joe Pigott also score a brace – one a penalty – with Callum Harriott getting the other.
Fresh from their 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday, the club’s Under-18 side travel to the City Ground on Tuesday evening to face Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.
Forest are a useful outfit, they beat Barnsley 7-0 at the Oakwell training pitch prior to Charlton’s 2-2 draw there in August.
The Addicks have a good record in this competition and have enough quality in their ranks to give any team a game.
Joe Gomez will marshall the defence behind a diamond midfield. Prodigious 16-year-old, Karlan Ahearne-Grant, will give the Forest back line plenty to think about.
If they overcome this stiff hurdle, Charlton will travel to Southampton in the fourth round of the competition.
