Charlton Athletic’s match against a Gibraltar XI is scheduled to kick-off at 8.00pm local time, 7.00pm BST on Wednesday in Gibraltar.
The cooler evening temperature will be appreciated by the players but Chris Powell is again likely to field seperate teams in each half, as he did at Welling on Saturday.
Richard Wood travelled with the Addicks and will be involved but Cedric Evina’s absence has been well publicised.
No new trialists travelled with the party on Sunday, so unless Powell has arranged for them to join the team in Spain, there will be no new faces in the team.
After this game, the Addicks will face a sterner test against St Mirren on Saturday morning.
The difficulty in getting through to the club’s Commercial Centre on Tuesday was reflected in the sale of tickets for the opening fixture at Bournemouth on 3 August. Nearly half of Charlton’s 1,447 allocation were sold on the first day of restricted sale. It seems certain that the Addicks will ask the Cherries for a further allocation.
