The eagerly awaited fixtures for the new campaign were released at 9.00am on Wednesday. The Addicks will face newly promoted Brentford at Griffin Park in the season’s opener.
They will then have three consecutive home games. Following the Capital One Cup game against Colchester, Wigan and Derby will visit The Valley for league games, before trips to Huddersfield and Brighton, so it is a really tough start for Charlton.
The season will end at The Valley when Bournemouth will be the visitors and Birmingham will be the final away game.
Travelling supporters will face the usual daunting schedule of long distance midweek away treks. Blackpool, Bolton, Leeds and Norwich will all be played in midweek. The visit to Rotherham’s New York Stadium will be on 20 September.
The eagerly anticipated matches with Millwall will be at The Valley on 22 November and at the Den on 4 April.
The Addicks will face Cardiff at The Valley on Boxing Day and will travel to Ipswich on 28 December.
The season kicks-off on Saturday 9 August, which is just over seven weeks away.
