Charlton chairman, Michael Slater, will be particularly pleased with the latest arrival at The Valley.
Slater is a self confessed Manchester City fan so he would have been delighted with the signing of powerhouse City midfielder, Abdul Razak.
19-year-old Razak will be at The Valley for the rest of the season. His initial ’emergency’ loan deal will expire at the end of December but he can then be signed on a standard loan to run until the end of the season.
Razak is an Ivory Coast international and was on the books of Crystal Palace when he first came to England.
He was snapped up by Manchester City and has been on the periphery of the City first team. He has made cameo appearances in the Premier League and was in City’s team that list to Villa in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday. Razak has also has experienced of the Championship, having had loan spells at Portsmouth and Brighton.
With Jackson almost certainly out of Tuesday’s game and Kerkar also struggling with an injury, Razak’s arrival could not have come at a more opportune moment.
Another signing is imminent, Powell should have a new striker available in time for the Watford game.
