Former Rangers midfielder, Salim Kerkar, is in Spain on a week’s trial with the Addicks.
Kerkar is a left-sided player, has pace and would provide cover for Johnnie Jackson or be a more than useful impact sub.
Kerkar will be 25-years-old at the start of next month and is the younger brother of Algerian international, Karim Kerkar.
Kerkar is likely to feature against either Sporting Clube de Portugal or Real Betis on Thursday.
Another player on a week’s trial – this time at Sparrows Lane – is young Merstham defender, Fabio Saravia. The 18-year-old is left-footed defender and can also play the holding role in midfield. Mertsham play in the Ryman League Division One South and Saravia has had trials in Cyprus without securing a deal.
The youngster will be assessed by Nathan Jones and would be a player for the development squad.
