As expected, season ticket prices for next season have been hiked up. The prices are applicable until 8 April and the club have said fans buying at the ‘early bird’ prices will make substantial savings.

The best seats in the East and West Stands will rise to £440 compared to £375 for buying in the initial period last year. The price represents a rise of of over 17%. Senior prices in these stands rise by £60 to £310, a 24% increase. Under 18 prices go up from £75 to £100, a 33% increase.

Though prices have been reduced then frozen over the past few seasons, the increases will not go down well with supporters. The Addicks have won just four games in all competitions at The Valley this season and the board will be hoping for a radical improvement in form to encourage renewals before the 8 April deadline.

The prices after this date have not yet been announced and will be influenced by initial sales, form and which division the club will be in next season. The Championship is the most likely prospect though both promotion and relegation are possible.

A good run of form in the seven weeks before the cut off date is the scenario the board will be hoping for.
