Jason Euell’s Under-23 side beat Watford 2-0 at Greenwich Borough’s ground on Monday afternoon.
Goals from Karlan Ahearne-Grant and Terrique Anderson were enough to give the Addicks all three points.
Lewis Page was expected to be involved in the game, but he did not feature.
The women’s team will be in action at The Valley on Tuesday evening when they face West Ham.
Karl Robinson will be hoping Josh Magennis returns unscathed from international duty. The big striker was a slight doubt for Northern Ireland’s match in Norway on Sunday, but managed to play all 90 minutes.
Robinson’s attention will now be firmly fixed on the build up to Saturday’s clash with Doncaster at The Valley.
Rovers have made a solid start to the campaign after returning to League One. They are currently 17th in the table but have had a couple of successes on the road.
They beat bottom club Plymouth at Home Park recently, and had a notable 3-1 win at Blackburn in August.
Rovers lost 2-0 at Bradford in their last away game, and performed creditably at the Emirates, before losing 1-0 to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.
They have found wins hard to come by at the Keepmoat though. The 4-1 win over Southend in their last match was Rovers’ first home win of the season.
Robinson will have fully fit duo, Mark Marshall and Ben Reeves, available for the game. The pair are likely to start from the bench, but the manger will soon have some tough decisions to make.
