Charlton will resume their normal build up to a Saturday game this week, although they will be without Simon Church and Rhoys Wiggins until later in the week.
The duo are currently on international duty.
Church scored a fine goal for Wales against Macedonia on Friday and it would be a real boost for his confidence if he could repeat the feat in Belgium on Tuesday.
Scoring has again been a problem for the Addicks this season, despite Church and Marvin Sordell joining the ranks. Charlton have been without Yann Kermorgant recently and it is unlikely that the talismanic Frenchman will be available for the trip to Blackburn.
Trialist, Basile Camerling, had a good game at West Ham on Thursday but it is improbable that he will be available for Chris Powell’s side by the weekend. Like Adamo Coulibaly, Camerling has a number of options and the financial situation at The Valley may prevent a rapid offer to the player being possible.
Ade Azeez opened the scoring for Torquay at Wycombe on Saturday, in a game that ended in a 2-2 draw. It was Azeez’s second goal for the Gulls since moving to Plainmoor on loan.
AFC Wimbledon were also held on Saturday, Accrington taking a point back to Lancashire after a 1-1 draw. Michael Smith did not score but has been in fine form since his temporary move to Kingsmeadow, netting five times in eleven league games.
Sky viewers would have seen former Addick, Leon Clarke, score a brace in Coventry’s 3-2 win over Sheffield United at Sixfields on Sunday. Clarke has now notched eight goals in eleven league outings for the Sky Blues this season.
Ironically, Clarke is thought to be a January transfer target for the Blades. Kevin McCabe recently sold a 50% share of the Bramall Lane outfit to Middle East investors.
The Addicks second string will next be in action on Wednesday, when they take the next step in their defence of the Kent Senior Cup, against Dartford at Princes Park.
