The Addicks were rewarded for their comprehensive victory over Oxford with an away game at Huddersfield in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

The draw was made live on Sky at 12.30pm on Thursday.

Charlton will return to Huddersfield three weeks later for the league game against the Terriers, which will also be on a Tuesday night.

The match will be an unattractive proposition for both clubs, with a low crowd guaranteed. For one of the sides, the game will end in elimination without them having had the opportunity of a glamour tie. This is the sort of draw that both the clubs themselves and their fans dislike.

Young Irish defender, Kevin Feely, has gone to Carlisle on an initial 28 day loan. The experience will do Feely good and he may feature in the Addicks first team before the end of the season.
