Addicks missing Magennis
Addicks missing Magennis
Josh Magennis started 2017 like a whirlwind, bagging his first ever senior hat-trick against Bristol Rovers at The Valley on 2 January.

Magennis is an integral part of the team, and the Addicks do not have a like-for-like replacement.
When he had to be taken off after just 13 minutes of the Millwall game at The Valley, it left Karl Robinson with a problem.
Robinson has used Tony Watt to fill the void. The Scot has run his socks off for the cause, but he is far more suited to the number ten role than that of the lone striker.
Charlton have remained unbeaten in Magennis’ absence. The Scunthorpe game was postponed due to a frozen pitch, the team pulled off an heroic win at Bolton with ten men, and drew against Fleetwood on Saturday.
But the Northern Ireland international’s physicality and aerial power have been sorely missed.
A workaholic on the pitch, Magennis hates missing games.  ‎When asked about Magennis’ fitness, Robinson said the player had declared himself fit a week ago.
Robinson added that Magennis could be fit for Saturday’s trip to AFC Wimnledon. If Magennis has any say in the matter, Robinson can put his name on the teamsheet now!
