Folkstone Invicta’s talented teenage striker, Euan Sahadow, is trialing with the Charlton Athletic this week.

Sahadow has been starring in Invicta’s successful FA Youth Cup camapign and he has attracted plenty of attention.

The FA Cup is not the attraction it once was, but Charlton will have three sides of The Valley open for‎ their First Round tie with Scunthorpe on Saturday week.

The lower tiers of the North and West stands will be available to home fans, while the Jimmy Seed stand will house the Iron’s followers.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for OAPS and Under 18s will pay just £1.

Scunthorpe have been given an initial allocation of 420 tickets.

Rugged defender, Jason Pearce, explained to the club’s website how disappointed the players were with Saturday’s first half performance at Gillingham on Saturday.

“The first half on Saturday was not good enough as a collective, we knew we had to do better and we were all very disappointed in ourselves at half-time.
“Coming into a bit of derby game we knew that we had to be at it. In the first half, we weren’t.

“We came in at half time and brushed ourselves off, and second half, we showed the fans a bit more of what we are about.

“We got the ball and played, created a lot of chances and in the end managed to get the equaliser. We’ll take the draw and now we need to win our home game against Chesterfield.”

The Addicks squandered their third successive penalty at Gillingham, when Ricky Holmes’ spot-kick was turned aside by Gills’ substitute keeper, Stuart Nelson.

Nelson was unable to repeat‎ his heroics in stoppage time though. Charlton levelled after being awarded a second penalty.

Nicky Ajose – a half-time substitute – made no mistake. Ajose is a player Pearce knows well:

‎”Nicky’s been a bit disappointed lately at not being in the side and, to be fair to him, he’s been working really hard in training.

“He showed good nerve with the penalty. He is a natural goalscorer, he showed good calmness and stuck it away. I’ve known Nicky for a while from playing against him and from being together at Leeds.
“He’s a player that is always working hard, working at his game and he came on on Saturday and did really well. He got his goal and hopefully he can kick on now.”

‎Ajose has been frozen out recently, but his introduction on Saturday was the catalyst that helped turn the game round.

Ajose will be more comfortable in a team that is now creating far more chances than earlier in the season.

The Bury born forward hit 25 goals for Swindon last season, and Russell Slade will be pondering whether now is the right time to restore his diminutive front man to the starting line-up.

The fans have been clamouring for his return, and will be disappointed if Ajose does not start against Chesterfield at The Valley on Saturday.
