Third choice keeper, John Sullivan, is likely to make his switch to AFC Wimbledon permanent in the summer.
Sullivan’s contract expires at the end of the season and he will probably want to move to a club where he will get regular football.
The Addicks have promising youngsters, Nick Pope and Dillon Phillips, coming through but Chris Powell may again opt for the security of having three senior keepers in his squad.
One possibility to fill will the void is Hartlepool’s Scott Flinders. Rotherham born Flinders has been the regular keeper at Victoria Park for four seasons now but relegation to League Two almost certainly means Hartlepool will be unable to offer him a satisfactory deal.
Flinders is 26 and has a wealth of experience for a relatively young keeper. His wage demands would not be a problem so he may be in Charlton’s thoughts.
Another keeper out of contract in the summer is former Addick, Darren Randolph. Randolph has has a highly successful stint in Scotland with Motherwell but his financial package would probably be too much for Charlton’s liking.
