Hodson played for Karl Robinson when the pair were together at MK Dons. Robinson has said that he wants two players competing for every position, and Hodson would put pressure on Chris Solly.
Another player rumoured to be on Robninson’s radar is Lawrie Wilson. Wilson is now on Bolton’s books and can play at right-back as well as further forward. The popular utility player would relish a return to The Valley.
Another ex player thought to be interesting the Addicks is Dover striker, Ricky Miller. Miller came through the Charlton academy and joined Woking when released from The Valley.
He scored a staggering 40 goals for the Whites in the National League this season.
Miller missed out on Dover’s 2-0 win over Welling United in the Kent Senior Cup Final on Monday afternoon through injury, but was there to support the side.
The star striker has also been linked with a move to Peterborough United with Dover manager Chris Kinnear admitting he knows where the talented centre forward is going, but will leave it to Miller to announce where that will be.
Robinson is a known admirer of Bradford winger Mark Marshall, but Bantams striker, Billy Clarke, could also be on the manager’s wish list.
Robinson will naturally be linked with some of his former MK Dons players, and the Buckinghamshire outfit have released keeper David Martin and experienced holding midfielder, Darren Potter.
Robinson raved about Potter’s performance when the Dons won at the Valley recently.
Attacking midfielder, Ben Reeves, is a Dons player the manager would love to bring to The Valley.
Robinson said that two of the players he wants to sign were in the stands on Sunday, I wonder if they were amongst those mentioned above?
