Details for Charlton’s First Round FA Cup game at Mansfield have now been released.
Prices will be £15 for adults and £10 for concessions, and tickets will go straight on general sale on Tuesday morning.
It will be an onerous journey for fans wishing to travel by train. There will be engineering works on the St Pancras to Nottingham line, which will mean a sizeable chunk of the journey having to be made by a replacement bus service.
It was also confirmed on Monday that the Addicks will have three players on international duty over the weekend of 17 November, and the club have exercised their option to have the game at Fratton Park against Portsmouth called off.
Charlton’s defeat at Rochdale on Saturday saw Lee Bowyer’s side slip into the bottom half of the table.
Experienced midfielder, Darren Pratley, thinks that the team should just concentrate on the next game, and not look to far ahead. Here are his thoughts:
”You want to be in and around it (the top ofthe table) but nobody wins the league now – it’s not even November yet. As a whole, we need to concentrate game by game and stop looking too far ahead.
“We need to take it game by game and make that our main focus. Maybe we’re looking too much at the top two but we need to concentrate on the next game, get the three points and then move on.
“We have to regroup and go again. We’ve got a tough game at home to Doncaster on Saturday and ideally we’d have a game on Tuesday because we want to put things right.
“The games come thick and fast in this league. We’ve got to stay positive and it’s still early doors. Just over a quarter of the season has gone and hopefully we can put it right next week.”
