As expected, it has been confirmed that Charlton’s FA Cup match with Halifax will be shown on live television.
The matched will be screened by ITV at 12.30pm on Sunday 13 November.
The game will be a real windfall for Halifax, each club will receive £67,500 from the television companies with the winners receiving £18,500 prize money from the FA. The other matches to be screened will be Newport County v Shrewsbury on Saturday and Morecambe v Sheffield Wednesday, which will follow Charlton’s game at 3.15pm on Sunday.
The commentary team will have fun, one of Halifax’s strikers is named Danny Holland!
Hopefully, the Addicks will fare better than when ITV last showed them in first round action, against Northwich Victoria.
The FA Youth Cup match at Soham Town Rangers will be played next Monday.
